The president of Foggia, Canonico, confirmed in a press conference the rumors that the club would change ownership. Negotiations underway between Calcio Foggia and Mergerscorp, a business company representing an American fund for the sale of all the club’s shares. According to what was reported by “LaCasadiC”, contacts between the parties which, in addition to also involving Italian intermediaries, have been going on since the beginning of the year, so much so that they have even led to a first exchange of documents. The hope is to close within the next month.

«I have always stated that I would be willing to open a dialogue for the sale of the club when, in my place, someone serious and reliable came forward. The news that has emerged in recent days, regarding a negotiation that has been going on for some time for the purchase of the Rossoneri club, corresponds to the truth and confirms my intentions to leave the Foggia project in solid and safe hands, adjectives that are synonymous with the company interested in Calcio Foggia 1920, namely MergersCorp M&A International, a brand specialized in Corporate Finance and Corporate Finance activities. I am therefore pleased to announce that advanced negotiations are underway and that the parties are working towards a positive conclusion.”
