SANTA MARINELLA – From The Country I would like we receive and publish:

“There are still consequences of the wiretapping scandals involving the Mayor Pietro Tidei, representatives of the majority and officials of the Municipality. The judge for the preliminary investigations of the Court of Civitavecchia, Giuseppe Coniglio, ordered the destruction of all those excerpts of environmental interceptions, recorded inside the municipal headquarters of Santa Marinella, which had filmed the mayor having intimate conversations with a lady, because have no relevance to the ongoing investigations.

The Country I Would Like does not forget the indignation of many citizens for the violation of our common home, but reiterates how much more important the indignation is for all the other scandals of an administrative nature.

In reaction to what happened, the campaign to collect signatures started last January, launched by the Citizens Association against Mafias and Corruption, and by the Citizens for Truth Committee. Many hundreds of people have signed the appeal, addressed to the Ministers of Justice and the Interior as well as the President of the Region, the Metropolitan City and the Prefect. We ask that the management of the Municipality of Santa Marinella be monitored more carefully in order to guarantee public transparency in the interest of the community and make it impervious to corruption, in contrast to the unscrupulous use of power that seems to have emerged from the facts reported by the press local and national.

The Country I Would Like, which actively contributed to the collection of signatures, expresses its heartfelt thanks to the associations and citizens who did not want to remain silent, indeed they strongly declared their clear opposition to what happened”
