Green light for the Grazzanise commercial airport and the public park in the former Macrico in Caserta. These are the announcements by the president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, launched from Grazzanise where the governor was for the inauguration of the Center for the training of consciences and professions, built in a buffalo farm owned by the boss Francesco Schiavone ‘Sandokan ‘ and confiscated by the State in 2008 and then assigned to the Municipality of Grazzanise in 2012.

Mayor Enrico Petrella confirmed President De Luca’s approval for the Grazzanise commercial airport. The commercial airport will be built in an area of the Air Force airport, remembering that already in March the Region financed, with a sum of 100 thousand euros, the feasibility study as requested by the Ministry of Defense in order to move forward with the process undertaken.

As regards the area in the former Macrico in Caserta, the opportunity to talk about it was the presence in Grazzanise of the bishop of Caserta and Capua Pietro Lagnese. Moreover, the former Macrico area is owned by the Diocese of Caserta after the Army abandoned it about thirty years ago. The bishop blessed the Center stolen from the Camorra boss. Governor De Luca announced: “We will build a public park in Caserta, I spoke about it a few days ago with Bishop Lagnese”. Don Antonello Giannotti, president of the Diocesan Institute for the Support of the Clergy, spoke on De Luca’s words: “He refers to the Biodiversity Park, one of the five points of the Masterplan designed to relaunch the area, with funding of 30 million euros from the Region”.
