«I got the first red card to defend Lautaro. It was January 2020 and we were playing against Cagliari. They massacred him with fouls for 90 minutes, he reacted in the 94th minute and got the red card. My vein closed against the referee. “But how, they killed him from the 1st minute and you kick him out?”. The following Sunday we both watched the derby from the stands. The second red card came with Parma. Empty stadium, not a fly flew. A “Holy shit” escaped me. In the locker room, anyone who got a red card for something stupid had to pay a penalty. So I went to the referee and jokingly told him that because of him I would have spent a lot of money and that therefore he should at least offer me a drink».
