Sunday 5 May “Mario Sironi – I love the beauty that art and nature offers me”, guided tour of the Art Museum of Palazzo Ricchieri to the great anthological exhibition dedicated to the Italian artist Mario Sironi, one of the masters of the Italian twentieth century who innovated the panorama of the figurative arts in our country, then teaching at an international level.

Three more guided tours of the exhibition are scheduled for Sundays 12, 19 and 26 Mayagain at 3.30 pm at Palazzo Ricchieri.

Sunday 5 May, one-hour thematic guided tour “There’s something medieval in this museum!”, open to all, to discover the medieval finds kept inside the Archaeological Museum of the Bastia del Castello di Torre. The Middle Ages have always been considered the dark ages… but is that really true? The Friulian territory, given its position, was full of events and illustrious passages during this period. This guided tour will allow you to discover the medieval and Lombard finds kept inside the museum and learn more about this era.

Sunday 12 May “Nature through the eyes of the artist”, an educational workshop dedicated to families with children from 6 to 10 years old at the Art Museum of Palazzo Ricchieri, during which to discover trees, waterways, clouds, landscapes, inevitable elements of the works of art kept in the museum. Several artists have elaborated these elements in new and completely unimaginable ways, using different techniques. Landscape painting will be experimented with and four different landscapes will be created using a decidedly… artistic point of view!

May ends with the educational workshop dedicated to families with children aged 6 to 10 years “A craftsman in a village” Sunday 19th at the Archaeological Museum of the Bastia del Castello di Torre. In the Neolithic, with the development of agriculture, man arose the need to preserve cereals and other foods and transport them from one place to another. To do this, he needed sturdy containers also used to cook them on the fire. Here, from the casual discovery that clay hardened near the fire, the art of ceramics developed. During the workshop, the children will put their “hands in the dough”, or rather, in clay, to create a personal ancient vase.
