Among the Italian candidates of the parties in the European elections of 8 and 9 June in the North-West constituency, which includes the regions of Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta, there is also Patrizia Baffi from Lodi. The current regional councilor of Fratelli d’Italia is fourth on the list for her party after Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Carlo Fidanza and Vincenzo Amich. In Forza Italia, deputy prime minister Antonio Tajani stands out, with Letizia Moratti, Paolo Damilano and Massimiliano Salini. In the League, the outgoing MEP Angelo Ciocca is in sixth place, while the leader is Silvia Sardone, with General Vannacci in 20th place.
For the Democratic Party, Cecilia Strada leads the list for the north-west, with Brando Benifei, Irene Tinagli, Alessandro Zan, Antonella Parigi, Giorgio Gori in the running. For the Green and Left Alliance there is Ilaria Salis, in prison in Hungary for 13 months accused of aggravated assault against two neo-Nazis, the former mayor of Rome Ignazio Marino; for Action the list is headed by Elena Bonetti, for United States of Europe Emma Bonino is in the running, for the Five Star movement Maria Angela Danzì.
