The president of the Medical Association of Agrigento, Santo Pitruzzella, intervenes following the attack on the doctor Gera Destro at the clinic in Canicattì and the excesses of a psychiatric patient in Agrigento to the detriment of the staff and policemen who intervened. Pitruzzella states: “These are unacceptable gestures that we firmly condemn and which urgently need to be remedied to prevent them from continuing to be repeated. Every day the white coats risk their own safety in carrying out their activities including, let us remember, that of saving the lives of other human beings. It is inconceivable that we will not be able to find solutions to avoid the occurrence of such episodes.”
