VITERBO – It’s still a big celebration for another family of wild boars who celebrated the arrival of a large litter with a trip to via Treviso and via Vicenza, feasting on the rubbish after having overturned some bins.
The new father and the new mother have once again chosen beautiful Viterbo for the celebrations. A stop that is now very popular among ungulates, almost all of whom live near the city and go as far as the surrounding streets of the center in search of food.
Among the majority, some councilors – instead of proposing solutions – also manage to point the finger at the citizens, stating that the invitation to the wild boars would come from an incorrect waste collection time. As if the boars had a watch on their wrist.
The very different truth is that most of the “uncomfortable tenants” of the City of the Popes come from Via Genova, where the Arcianello Valley has been abandoned to itself for too long and does not have adequate fences to prevent animals from accesses the city.
Perhaps, sooner or later, the administration will be able to listen to the citizens who, daily, report photos and videos of the presence of more and more wild boars.
