Starting Wednesday evening, a change in weather conditions is expected following a decrease in pressure caused by the deepening of an Atlantic trough. This configuration will lead to variable and temporarily unstable weather throughout the Veneto region.
Between Thursday and Friday, bad weather conditions
During Thursday, the positioning of a low trough over northern Italy will directly influence the Veneto, causing decidedly disturbed weather. The Precipitation will be widespread, mainly affecting the mountainous and piedmont areas and the northern areas of the plain.
Rainfall
The probability of precipitation will be between 75% and 100% from the early hours of the night, manifesting itself in the form of showers or thunderstorms. A temporary lull in rainfall is expected on the central-southern plain and along the coast during the morning, but in the afternoon the phenomenon will intensify again, especially in the central-northern areas.
Snowfall and temperatures
The snowfall level will drop between 1800 and 2100 meters in the Prealps and between 1700 and 2000 meters in the Dolomites. Temperatures will suffer a general drop, with the minimum temperatures that will be reached in the evening.
Winds and sea
The winds at altitude will be moderated from the southern quadrants, with an attenuation expected from late afternoon. In the valleys, the winds will be variable, while on the coast and neighboring plains there will be moderate or strong winds from the southern quadrants, attenuating inland. The sea will be rough, but an attenuation of the swell is expected in the evening.
Outlook for the weekend
On Saturday, variable weather is still expected with moments of instability, but from Sunday the situation will tend to improve with an increase in pressure which will lead to sunnier conditions, especially on the plains, and a rise in maximum temperatures.
