Only 180 minutes left until the end of the championship B series 2023-24. By virtue of the results achieved this afternoon Bari, Ternana and Ascoli they are currently level on 37 points.

The three teams occupy positions 16, 17 and 18, valid respectively for the play-out and for the relegation direct. Let’s see what would happen if the three teams finished the championship on equal points.

If more than two teams finished the championship with the same points in the standings, the factor would come into play classification avulsa. This is a ranking that exclusively considers the direct clashes between the teams that finished the championship with equal points. The points in each direct match between the clubs in question are therefore added, defining the final ranking.

According to this ranking, at the moment Bari would have 8 points (the result of the two home victories with Ascoli and Ternana and the two away draws) and would be the best placed. Following there would be Ascoli who collected 7 points (the result of two victories against Fere and a draw with Bari). Condemned in this way to direct relegation would be Ternana who picked up just one point at home against Mignani’s Bari.

If, however, Bari were to hook him Spice, in the last valid position for direct salvation, other factors would come into play. The first of these is the sum of points in direct matches, where D’Angelo’s team would prevail. Spezia, in fact, won the first leg 1-0 with a goal from Verde. At San Nicola the match ended in a draw.
