“Fly high, respect the rules” is the claim of the new campaign created by the Automobile Club Udine which, also in the second year of the UD4Safety project, financed by the FVG Region, joins forces with a prestigious testimonial to spread road safety messages – the Frecce Tricolori – symbol of technical excellence, capable of creating beauty and harmony and arousing emotions in anyone who witnesses their performances.
The communication campaign, whose protagonists are the pilots of the Acrobatic Team, compares four typical behaviors when driving on the road with the same ones in flight and shows some fundamental rules for travel safety: check the efficiency of the vehicle, fasten your passengers’ seat belts, wear a full-face helmet securely fastened if you use a motorbike and, for everyone, respect the signs.
On the occasion of the last aerobatic training before the start of the official performance season, in front of thousands of spectators and in the presence of the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, Lieutenant Colonel Massimiliano Salvatore, Commander of the Frecce Tricolori, recalled: “The safety, in flight as on the road, is made up of a set of simple virtuous conduct, just follow the rules; participating in this campaign was an opportunity that we immediately seized with enthusiasm, with the hope of giving a positive example to those who get behind the wheel every day; for us it was a fun and at the same time educational experience.”
Gianfranco Romanelli – President of the Automobile Club Udine thanked them with these words: “The Frecce drivers are role models who are looked at with respect and admiration because they represent models of behavior and examples of ability, rigor and iron discipline. With this campaign we would like to convey the message that observing precise rules and a strong sense of responsibility are essential values. We are certain that the image, history and values of the Frecce Tricolori and its drivers are ideal for promoting a virtuous model on the road, so as to encourage the emulation of good habits”.
