The Rovigo team in San Giorgio delle Pertiche second behind the first Spinea Skaters
Team silver won at the regional track championship in San Giorgio delle Pertiche on the two days of Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April. Two days of truly challenging competitions for the green and blue standard bearers accompanied by Luca Presti and Alberto Ponzetto second only to the Spinea Skaters. In the Senior regional title in the sprint lap won by Giacomo Bernabei, second Giacomo Mazza, fourth Matteo Bernabei. In the distance, second place for Giuseppe Bramante, beaten by Matteo Barison of the Spinea skaters who won the title. Great performance then in the American relay where the trio of aces Giacomo Bernabei-Bramante-Mazza climbed onto the second step of the podium. In the Senior single tests encouraging both in speed and cross country with the exploit in the “Americana” with Elisa Berto, Gaia Lissandron and Yasmine Spada. In the Allieve, silver for Isabel Dobreva in the 5,000 meters. In the boys relay, third position was achieved by Sebastiano Schiesaro, Davide Zambon and Leonardo Zanirato, as well as the individual silver obtained by Schiesaro himself in the 3,000 meters with points. Thus Adriana Chinaglia, companion and manager of the Rovigo Skating Club at the end of the championship: “In San Giorgio it was intense and very positive, the athletes competing achieved excellent results and many of them achieved valid placings for qualifying for the Italian championships track. Everyone showed commitment and determination, under the guidance of their coaches, appreciating the advice of their older teammates.” Appointment now for the 38th Arturo Ponzetti Memorial at the Skatinodromo delle Rose in Rovigo in via Bramante, where the baseball field once stood, on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May.
