For the first time in Monza a silver trampoline competition will take place Saturday 4 May in the Gym Park on Via Silva. To organize it, with “emotion and pride”and the Nuova Artistica Monza, an amateur sports association founded in 2019 which today already has 190 members.
“The competition – explains Francesca Sala, vice president of Nam – will see one challenge each other seventy participants, belonging to four different sports clubs. This is a test included in the official calendar of the Italian Gymnastics Federation, valid for access to the national finals which will be held in Fano on June 1st. We are excited because it is the first time that a race of this type does not take place in Milan, and we are even more excited for having had the opportunity to organize it here in via Silva”.
With the New Artistic Monzese the “silver” race with seventy athletes
Elastic trampoline, mini trampoline and tumbling are the three disciplines in which the athletes (the clubs of origin are, in addition to Nam, SG Milano 2000, Asd Ginnastica Sanpietrina and Asd Artistica Dafne) divided into categories and age groups, they are ready to challenge each other: the performances include sequences of evolutions made up of compulsory exercises and other free exercises.
For spectators, fun is guaranteed: in fact, federginnastica.it writes that “The trampoline is one of the Olympic gymnastics disciplines which, more than any other, enhances the acrobatic component. Thanks to the elastic sheet, the athlete has the possibility of performing jumps with a very broad flight phase, both temporally and spatially, with the consequent opportunity to develop multiple and combined rotations with respect to the various body axes”.
“At the competitions – concludes Sala – three athletes with disabilities and four children from the “Sport for you” program will also participate”promoted by the Municipality of Monza with the aim of encouraging sports practice among students of the city’s state primary schools.
