FMAV – Modena Visual Arts Foundation presents “Embodiment” from May 16 to May 26, 2024. The results of the PANG! project of Drama Artistsco-financed by Europa Creativa, curated by Angelini, Antonini, Serrani, Quiet Ensemble, in collaboration with FMAV.

A group of performing arts artists* with heterogeneous skills and poetics meet in Modena, Lisbon and finally in an artistic residency in Tallinn, Estonia, at the end of a co-creation process that has spanned four European countries in two years, including performances, workshops, conferences and meetings. The heart of the project was the creation of a theatrical work with a group of teenagers from each country, met in the delicate moment of post-pandemic transition.

Starting from this profound human and artistic experience, the artists* involved worked in Tallinn on the embodiment process, following together the traces that the touching and shocking encounter with the young generations has left on their work as performers.

With the materials produced during the residency, the Italian artistic group, composed of Isadora Angelini, Angela Antonini and Luca Serrani, worked with Quiet Ensemble on the creation that the public will be able to visit in Modena. This is the first of a series of parallel productions created by the other artists involved in the project, which will debut in June in Lisbon, Tallinn and Ljubljana.

The invitation is to go through an experience that places the audience in the present moment, reversing the physical perspective to enter into the detail of bodies with their moving imperfections and peculiarities. An opportunity to try to let go, to welcome the touching power of the sound of the human voice, in its expression in languages and rhythms. An organic map built on the desire to help people discover the first step towards the instructions for fighting the end of the world: giving themselves the opportunity to fully experience the present moment in the deep, very human listening of the other to themselves.
