APRILIA – Aprilia reduces the waste tariff by rationalizing the service. The mayor and councilor of the branch announced this during the city council meeting on 30 April which also approved the regulation for the regulation of the waste tax and the quality charter of the municipal solid waste management service.
“I am very happy to be able to vote today on this change in the Tari tariff and the average reductions that concern domestic and non-domestic users. This act allows us to respect the promise not to touch citizens’ pockets following the unfortunate affair of the Parco dei Mille ruling. We made a commitment not to increase taxation, we even managed to reduce it. An important signal, in contrast to many other municipalities. The intention is to continue on this path, we will do so by making the service more efficient, reducing costs and continuing the fight against tax evasion”, is the comment of the mayor of Aprilia Lanfranco Principi after the approval by the majority of the new tariffs Tari for the year 2024, which record an average decrease of 6.87% for non-domestic users and 4% for domestic ones. An important signal from the administration of closeness to productive activities and citizens, as highlighted during the session by the finance councilor Gemma Stampatore.
“This reduction – explained Councilor Stampatore – shows a figure that goes against the trend compared to other municipalities, which, due to inflation, found themselves forced to increase the tariff by 9.60%. We succeeded in demonstrating that there is no need to increase the tax to make the service more efficient. The new reformulated tariffs and the consequent reductions derive from the joint effect of a rationalization of the cost of the service, the good results achieved in the fight against tax evasion and an increase in the tax base. We record an increase in taxable square footage, which passes through domestic users from 2 million 799 m2 to 2 million 997 thousand m2; for non-domestic from 649 thousand m2 to 762 thousand 863 m2. Pay everyone to pay less, the logic we have espoused. Despite the debt exposure and the difficulties we have had to face in recent months, we have worked to guarantee our concrete support for production activities”.
“Thanks to this tool – added councilor Gemma Stampatore – we will improve the technical and contractual quality of the service. It will be a tool through which citizens will be able to know in detail the services offered, the contractual obligations of the manager, have tools to be able to communicate with the relevant offices and certain response times to complaints, cancellation and refund requests”.
