Last year was very positive for Aprilia in the Catalan GP, with Aleix Espargaró achieving a double victory and Maverick Viñales on the podium, something that motivates Raúl Fernández a lot, who is still trying to find his best level this season .
The Trackhouse Racing driver recalled his 2023 results exactly to reassure himself that he should be able to do well: ‘I feel very lucky to have four Grands Prix in Spain. This is special, especially for Aprilia who achieved a 1-2 result here last year, so, for me, it’s fantastic to go there knowing that our bike works incredibly on this circuit.’
Fernández continues to make his way, improving, and wants to continue on that path:
– Honestly, I’m very happy to go there after finding even more progress at Le Mans. I’m happy with the current situation and I will go to Barcelona to enjoy the race weekend because I think we are working really well.
The #25 has added 18 points so far, finding himself in 15th place in the championship standings.
