TERNI – “Since 2005 I have never stopped volunteering and supporting the child and developmental neuropsychiatrist of the Umbria2 local health authority and its Baobab day centre. We have made many donations with the Pagliacci association to guarantee the well-being of all the children who use the structure”.
Alessandro Rossi, founder of I Pagliacci, speaks with pride about the result of the dinner organized to raise funds for the Baobab.
2630 euros were raised, in addition to the 2500 raised thanks to the Christmas market at the Anita Garibaldi school.
More than 5 thousand euros which will guarantee a series of activities for the summer period: from rafting to pet therapy, from pool activities to boat excursions to Piediluco and music therapy.
Thanks to the Pagliaccis, over the years, teaching material has been purchased for speech therapists, the spaces for the gym have been equipped and games have been purchased for boys and girls followed by the Child Neuropsychiatry of the Local Health Authority led by Augusto Pasini.
“It’s difficult to find the right words to express my gratitude – says Rossi – this was yet another demonstration of closeness to issues relating to mental disability and I am honored to be part of a group of people who do their utmost every day to make things better the living conditions of many children”.
The Pagliacci have welcomed other volunteers in recent weeks.
These are ten students from the Terni branch of the medical faculty who are participating in the training course to be able, as future doctors, to treat not only the disease but the person.
