With a direct negotiation with a single operator, the municipal administration renewed the concession of the sports facility (football field and adjoining training field) Dorando Pietri in via to the Società Ginnastica la Patria for the period 1 June 2024-31 May 2025 New West. Since the municipal offices estimated the cost of one year of management of the facility – use of changing rooms, showers, night lighting, grass cutting – at just under 27 thousand euros gross, the concession was accompanied by the Administration’s commitment to pay to Patria a contribution of 9 thousand 760 euros gross, thus adhering to the offer presented by the Company which provided for a 1 percent discount. follows
To understand why La Patria, which does not carry out football activities, became the Municipality’s sole interlocutor for the management of the facility, it is necessary to go back to the bankruptcy of Carpi Fc in August 2021, until then manager of the changing rooms and the facility which includes the training field and the actual football pitch. In December of that year, despite several football clubs having declared themselves available to take over, the municipal administration preferred to extend to the Homeland the surface right granted to the Polisportiva Dorando Pietri, original owner of the changing rooms which in this way became an integral part of the heritage real estate of the Gymnastics Company, at least for the entire duration of the surface right, i.e. until 2031.
From that moment, La Patria has been able to exercise, under the conditions of the Municipality – which can be summarized in compliance with the price list for the concession of football fields and in the availability of 10 afternoon shifts left at the disposal of the Administration so that it can assign them to football clubs that do not have them – the role of the lessor towards the user clubs, including United, Due Ponti, Mondial, Rugby Carpi which only uses the training pitch. It is assumed, therefore, that the maximum income that La Patria can collect from the users of the plant remains within the difference between the management cost estimated by the offices and the 9,760 euro contribution to guarantee, as stated in the municipal act of these days, “the achievement of economic-financial management balance”.
