The University for Adults of Lugo has a new location for drawing, painting and mosaic courses. In fact, the detached section of the University shared with the “Musivari” association was inaugurated in the former civic center of Ca’ di Lugo in via della Resistenza, 2, made available by the Municipality on “free loan” in exchange for the payment of utilities. Present to celebrate the important event were the vice president of the University for adults Anna Poles, the teacher of the painting course, Michele Andalò, and the president of the “Musivari” company Elisa Simoni as well as one of the students, Efrem Bardelli to whom Deputy Mayor Luigi Pezzi and Culture Councilor Anna Giulia Gallegati were added, representing the municipal administration, as well as Don Leonardo Poli who blessed the premises. Following the unveiling of the Cà dell’arte plaque, positioned at the entrance, some children from the Malerbi Municipal School of Music performed in a concert with instrumentalists and a singer. The presence of the University for Adults in the city fabric also continues with other types of activities always linked to the world of school and training. Recently the association donated a Yamaha baby grand piano to the “G.Ricci Curbastro” high school in Lugo which was placed in the main hall. The initiative underlines the long connection that for 13 years has united the University for Adults with the high school which hosts the largest number of promoted courses and where conferences open to the public are held with experts of various kinds and often co-promoted with the institute. The donation was celebrated on the occasion of the “Night of the Classical High School” event.
