The articulated lorry, loaded with empty paper boxes, was traveling towards Foggia. As a result of the collision (for reasons to be detailed) with a car on state road 691 in the Avellino area, the truck went off the road and, having knocked down the guard rail, flew down the viaduct for twenty metres. The driver of the heavy vehicle, a 37-year-old from Foggia, was seriously injured: he was transported by air ambulance to Salerno hospital. The driver of the car was also injured.

A 37-year-old from Soleto lost his life in a tragic accident that occurred late this afternoon on the outskirts of the town.
The accident, apparently independent, occurred in the Murica district: the man, Fabio Coluccia, originally from Soleto, was aboard his old model Fiat Punto when he lost control of the steering wheel and ended up against a dry stone wall. The violent impact threw the 37-year-old out of the cockpit.
When the 118 emergency services arrived, there was nothing left that could be done for the 37-year-old. To reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident, the Carabinieri of the Maglie company intervened. (leccesette.it)
