Elections, the PD Florence chooses two women leaders

The Democratic party of Florence unanimously approved the lists with the candidates for the City Council and for the Districts, with personalities who transversally represent the various worlds of the Florentine social fabric, in a mix of experience and innovation.

For the City Council, the Democratic Party presents a list head with two women at its head: Irene Micaliyoung university researcher; Rossella Teodori, trade unionist who works in school canteens, already protagonist in the evening of presentation of Sara Funaro’s candidacy. The first name in alphabetical order is also that of a woman, Benedetta Albanese, municipal councilor for housing, urban safety, rights and equal opportunities. Alongside the outgoing councillors, there will be new candidates, mostly young people who have gained experience in neighborhood councils. Among other more significant names, Elisa Meloni representing Volt’s political movement.

As regards the presidency of the five Districts, the presidents in Q2 are confirmed Michele Pierguidiin Q3 Serena Perini and in Q4 Mirko Dormentoniall highly appreciated by the citizens.

In District 1 it is presented Mirco Ruffiliborn and raised in Oltrarno, outgoing city councilor who in recent years has dealt with Florentine traditions.

In District 5 he is a candidate for president Filippo Ferraroborn and raised in Novoli known for his battles in favor of the tramway.

Also on the lists of the Districts are candidates women and men who are expressions of the city fabric, personally involved in the political activities of the territory.
