The traditional feast of the Madonna del Buon Consiglio will take place between 30 April and 1 May, in the Colla district of Soveria Mannelli

An event that opens the celebrations of the Marian month and which is revived every year with a large participation of the faithful both in the Triduum in preparation and in the procession through the extensive countryside of the area and in the characteristic historic center of the Reventino village.

Devotion to the Madonna of Good Counsel emerges in the Reventino community in the first decade of the 20th century, when Maestro Guacci of Lecce was commissioned to create the valuable effigy of the Virgin holding her blessing son in her hands and children with open arms in front of her. to be lifted high by the heavenly Mother.

For over a century, the faithful of Colla have lived this event with particular devotion. The blessing of all the children is also scheduled for the morning of May 1st.

The concomitance of the feast of the Madonna with May 1st, Saint Joseph the Worker, will be an appropriate moment to experience a moment of prayer and reflection on the topic of work and safety at work.

The procession will be accompanied by the Decollatura Band.

As regards the civil celebration, organized thanks to the local Catholic Action and the generosity of the faithful, the performance of the well-known Cosenza group I Cinghios and Roberto Bozzo Trio Live Music is scheduled for April 30th, with the possibility of having dinner in the square with the excellent stands of Il Forestiero by Marisa De Cello and Bello Bello by Alessandro Bello.

On the night between 30 April and 1 May the usual fireworks display.
