Following the call from the Emilia-Romagna Region, in collaboration with Art-ER on ESF funds, SERINAR has obtained funding to create the 5 “Digital Girls” Summer Camps at the university campuses of Cesena, Forlì, Ravenna and Riminiwhich will take place from 2 to 13 September 2024 for a total of 50 hours, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science – Science and Engineering of the University of Bologna.

“The initiative – explains Professor Antonella Carbonaro, coordinator of the project – is aimed at 3rd and 4th grade girls, is totally free and aims to offer a first taste of the complex world of IT disciplines, also in reference to the new horizons introduced by Artificial Intelligence. In this regard, we will try to delve deeper into how algorithms can be used to support functions usually performed by humans, in various fields, from public administration to healthcare and many industrial applications. Participation does not require previous skills in the sector. The various Summer Camps will be managed by dynamic and motivated young teachers (two for each Campus), who will propose a collaborative and active planning approach in a stimulating and fun climate aimed at the development of elements of Artificial Intelligence.

It is possible to participate in the Ragazze Digitali Summer Camps until 12 June 2024 (17 June only for Camp 2 in Cesena), by registering online at the following link: https://www.serinar.unibo.it/ragazze-digitali- 2024/
