He committed abuse against two elementary school children, and for this reason he will now have to defend himself from the charge of aggravated sexual assault: the alleged perpetrator, a 37-year-old Pakistani resident in Arezzo, however, with a similar precedent behind him, he now finds himself confined behind the bars of the Florentine prison of Sollicciano.
According to what was reported by the authorities, the events date back to February 9th. In the first case, the non-EU citizen, stationed near the Sante Tani school in Arezzo, targeted a child of 10 yearsapproaching him and kissing him on the cheek against his will.
Immediately afterwards, as reported by Republicthe Pakistani would have become even more daring, taking away a child of 6 years to the mother. The stranger would have gone into action taking advantage of a very brief moment of distraction from the woman. What he didn’t know, however, is that the surveillance cameras installed near the school had recorded everything, clearly showing the images of the 37-year-old walking away with the child. The little victim, who fortunately had been left free to leave after the violence, told his mother that the man had taken him to a secluded place to abuse him: after having lowered his trousers, the pedophile had in fact molested him in explicit way. And that’s exactly how, with his shorts still pulled down, his mother found him. Having linked the two episodes, the parents of the children at the Sante Tani school in Arezzo, clearly terrified of what could have happened to their children with that maniac on the loose, immediately turned to the police.
Once the videos taken by the surveillance cameras, and thanks also to the testimony and descriptions provided by the children’s parents, the men of the Arezzo flying squad managed to identify the alleged perpetrator. After investigating him, among other things, the investigators became aware of the murky past of the 37-year-old Pakistani, already accused of a similar crime in another city against a child.
The “serious indications of guilt” allowed the police to place the handcuffs on the wrists of the non-EU citizen, who, accused of the crime of aggravated sexual assaultis now detained in the Sollicciano prison, a neighborhood located on the western outskirts of the Tuscan capital.
