ADRIA (Rovigo) – The 16th edition of Adria in fiore does not disappoint expectations and attracts thousands and thousands of visitors to the city. In fact, already in the morning the squares were filled with people looking for plants and flowers and handicraft objects. Obviously the most popular stalls were those of horticulturalists come from Fiesso d’Artico, Loria and Bessica di Loria, Caerano, Boara Pisani, Cona, Correzzola, Ponso, Piazzola sul Brenta, Venice, Portogruaro, Monselice, Abano Terme.
A true explosion of spring colors and scents cheered by the sun that embellished the city center.
The innovations introduced this year were very welcome, starting with Adria in fiore well-being with activities aimed at adults and children. Very participatory yoga lessons held by Caterina Scuro
certified yoga teacher, Sara Marchesini nursery school educator, Coni educational children’s yoga teacher, and the laughter therapy and dynamic meditation sessions curated respectively by Mariella Pavani Certified teacher trainer and from Elena Zaghi certified holistic practitioner.
The gallery exhibition of the artists dedicated to Manual art with creative operators and the exhibition of clothes made in crochet by Marina Cappato. At the entrance to the gallery there was a huge mandala made with crochet flowers from many ladies from Adria, from neighboring towns and even from Piedmont by a lady native to Adria who still has her city in her heart. Ponte Castello was also decorated with crochet flowers, creating an urban knitting installation. These projects were coordinated by the vice president Silvia Trevisan.
The exhibitions proposed by the Pro Loco for the occasion were also very welcome: the traditional “The enchantment of pressed and silk flowers” with the artists Gloria Nives Frigato and Odilla Rizzo, in Salara Cordella and the giant flower exhibition of Annachiara Babetto and the pictorial works of Silvia Mesin at Ferrini Theatre which also hosted a concert dedicated to Adria in fiore promoted by Assoferrini Onlus.
The initiatives aimed at children also recorded important numbers starting from the Caccia al sasso fioreto, created in collaboration with the Facebook group “A smile for Adria” administered by Fiorenza Zanirato and Giada Clare Piechotta, which recorded 122 registrations. Piazza Cavour taken by storm, which for the occasion became “The Children’s Square: in full colour” with various entertainment and play stations with giant games, puzzle games, circus games, table football. All coordinated by the animators Vaniglia and Betulla. The workshops for children presented by the association La Tartaruga e la Formica Aps were appreciated and well attended and entertained the little ones with Leggendocreando tra i colori della storia and by the Franceschetti and Di Cola Foundation the Let’s talk cultural association with “Butterflies and flowers from nature ”.
Also this year there is a station from the Adria 1 Scout Group with the sweet box office of the cubs and the Mosaico Friends Adria Odv Association.
For the Pro Loco it was an honor to host a representation of Long live Vittoria Rovigo led by the contact person Anna Maria Sgualdo who displayed their blankets in order to collect the offers that will allow us to donate a shelter for women victims of violence taken care of by the Polesine Anti-Violence Centre. An important gesture to say No to violence against women.
The Pro Loco expresses particular thanks to Croce Verde and its volunteers for the important logistical support which made the event even more complete and safe.
