He tries to steal from a supermarket, but gets stuck in a window and dies. It happened on the night of April 29th in Corciano, in the province of Perugia, where a 34-year-old Tunisian man was found lifeless dangling from a very small window at the back of the grocery store he had attempted to rob.

The episode

The police intervened in Corciano, in the Prepo area, around midnight after they had been alerted to a theft in progress. The soldiers, who arrived on site, found the body of the man, of Tunisian origins and without a fixed address, already known to the police. According to what the police report, the thirty-four-year-old had been caught by the owner forcing the cash register and had thus tried to escape through a very small window at the back of the place. In an attempt to get past it, however, he remained stuck with his body dangling outside and his neck and arms inside. He would have died from mechanical asphyxiation. At the disposal of the judicial authority, the body was transported to the morgue of the “Santa Maria della Misericordia” hospital in Perugia, for subsequent investigations aimed at establishing the exact causes of death. The Carabinieri at the Perugia station are still investigating the matter.
