It will be a rainy weekend, the first of 2021. Both in Salerno and in the Irno Valley, in particular in Baronissi, San Severino and Montoro, rain – even in the form of thunderstorms – will characterize the days of Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd January . Specifically, on Saturday there could be some fleeting clearing, between one significant shower and another; On Sunday, however, the trend is that of constant rain. And the start of next week doesn’t bode well.

Meanwhile, the Region’s Civil Protection has issued a weather warning valid from 10pm on January 1st until 10pm on the 2nd (with subsequent extension to 10pm on day 3).

Throughout the Campania region, Locally strong winds with gusts and predominantly rough seas with possible storm surges along the exposed coasts. In all zones, with the exception of 4 (Alta Iprinia and Sannio) and 7 (Tanagro), the alert not only concerns the wind but also precipitation which may have a shower or thunderstorm character. The hydrogeological criticality is Yellow.
