Musici’s new single talks about the pride of feeling at home by naturally recognizing one’s land
After the success of “Festa”, the single released last March 15th and filmed between Teramo, the historic center of Campli and the Belvedere di Giulianova, the Teramo band “I Musici”, born in 2014 and emerging in the genre of itinerant new folk , presents the new single entitled “Sud”, released on May 3rd on all online platforms, which will inaugurate the 2024 concert tour.
“We try to take our vision of new popular music around Italy – explain Alessio Mariani and Marina Carpineta, members of the band: the meeting between ancient rhythms and contemporary gestures contains the essence of the path we are advancing with the our songs. After the release of the song La Festa, we want to inaugurate the 2024 concert tour with the epic atmosphere of the new single released on May 3rd entitled SUD. The theme of the journey, of the promised destination of peace, embraces all those who leave their homeland and always carry it in their hearts, creating a unique sense of belonging. Starting from the popular music of Southern Italy, we are now firmly projected towards world music, with the aim of making the folk genre more pop and contemporary. Our show aims to be powerful, engaging and full of energy.”
“The first single La Festa – underlines the vice-president of the BIM Consortium, Luca Di Girolamo – is part of a broader project, promoted by BIM, which intends to enhance characteristic villages and landscapes of our territory. The involvement of our Consortium, which supported the musical experimentation project from the beginning, encouraged the choice of the Borsacchio nature reserve for the new video which, thanks to the precious biodiversity it preserves, represents one of the most evocative and characteristic places on the coast Abruzzo”.
Musici’s new single, Sud, talks about the pride of feeling at home by naturally recognizing one’s land. “I Musici” were born in 2014. Fundamental stages of their growth, the traveling and club performances, the concert openings, the creation of a show with its own identity. Members: Alessio Mariani (vocals, battente guitar, accordion), Marina Carpineta (vocals), Doriano Monticelli (Salento tambourine), Gianluigi Cardelli (accordion), Gianluca Ruffini (bass), Giordano Costantini (guitar) and Sara Di Donato, from Abruzzo and Teramani docs who bring world music made of harmonies that celebrate the colors and energy of moving sounds around Italy. The expansion of concerts from Abruzzo to all the regions of central-southern Italy (Lazio, Campania, Calabria, Basilicata, Puglia, Molise and Umbria) is the mirror of the new folk, experienced and elaborated to embrace the various generations.
