Prevent and combat crime in all its forms. It is to guarantee the safety of citizens that the provincial command of the Carabinieri of Agrigento has intensified controls in Agrigento and Porto Empedocle.
Ten self-assembled patrols, including civilians, and many carabinieri were involved in the security arrangement. The patrols, reinforced by dog units from the Palermo Carabinieri unit, will guard the most sensitive areas of the two Municipalities, with particular attention to the areas already the scene of recent episodes of damage.

The police are busy checking people, documents and vehicles, using breathalyzers to combat driving under the influence of alcohol. All patrols are equipped with high visibility devices to ensure maximum safety during road checks.
