«An important day of presentation of research results on the Terni area analyzed from multiple aspects». The workshop on the results of the Carit 2022 project ‘The university for innovation and sustainable development: healthcare, society, economy and technology in the Terni area’ was held on Tuesday morning in the conference room of the scientific educational center of Terni.

The topics discussed

After the opening of the proceedings with institutional greetings from Professor Stefano Brancorsini, director of the Polo, who spoke of the “ever-increasing role of the University in Terni” and the “fundamental contribution of the Carit foundation for the development and promotion of research scientific in a territorial context” and of Professor Daniele Fioretto, dean of the degree course in optics and optometry, who coordinated the interventions of the teachers responsible for the projects and the authors of the research who presented the results of the four sub-projects into which the project is divided Carit 2022. Professor Uliano Conti, Doctor Elide Francesca De Care, Professor Raffaele Federici and Doctor Elisa Tanti, illustrated the results of the sub-project ‘Urban identities between social memory, hyperlocal risks and socio-anthropological transformations of citizens’ experiences. Rebirth strategies for people and society’. Doctors Francesca Mancuso and Martina Alunni Cardinali, together with Professor Marina Bellet, reported the results of the sub-project ‘Preservation and restoration of fertility in pre-pubertal cancer patients: improvement of cryopreservation methods and recovery of endocrine function and spermatogenesis’. For the economic scope of the project, professor Cristina Boiti and doctors Monica Pucci and Teresa Turzo reported with the sub-project ‘The transaction towards the sustainability of the Terni production fabric: economic, corporate and legal profiles’. The works were closed by professors Luca Valentini and Luigi Torre and doctor Maurizio Natali who, for the technological field, exposed what emerged from the research of the sub-project ‘Sustainable design and characterization of materials for industrial, agri-food and biomedical applications’. The director of the Polo, Professor Stefano Brancorsini, finally intervened by thanking Professor Luigi Carlini, president of the Carit foundation: «The greeting that President Carlini wanted to bring with his presence at today’s workshop was relevant and significant for the technological, educational and and training in the Terni area, a further sign of the consolidated and fruitful collaboration between the university and the foundation”.
