Vivarini presents Catanzaro-Venezia: «We can aim for fourth place, we will give our best»

Catanzaro coach Vincenzo Vivarini spoke at a press conference ahead of the match against Venezia.

Here are his words:

«It will be an exciting match. We have taken care of every little detail and adopted some measures depending on the opponent. We will face a team that works differently from the others, they manage to allow little space and from a tactical point of view we will have our work cut out for us. They will be motivated here to bring home the result and we must adapt to this type of competition. Between now and the end of the championship we will have to face three intense matches that must convince the team that they can do well against anyone. In Pisa we played a good match against an opponent who gave his soul, even if we could have done better. We must understand that in the play-offs they will all be matches like the last one.”

«Giving space to those who have played less is important and we must make a virtue of necessity. We won’t have Brighenti, but I’m happy to have Miranda back, he’s an interesting guy and can give us a big hand. The same goes for the defense and also for the other roles, everyone must always be on top of things.” No team is more dangerous from set pieces than Venezia: “In Pisa we conceded the first goal from a corner and consequently we took care of these situations. Venezia is the strongest team of the tournament in terms of individuality from a physical point of view and we will have to try not to succumb from this point of view. In Venice we conceded goals on two deep attacks. Our defensive line changed after that match to avoid allowing too many spaces of this kind. Fourth place? We are mathematically in the play-offs and the motivation could fail. However, it absolutely must not happen, we can aspire to fourth place and we must always give our best.”
