Cunning time cards in Cimitile, in the province of Naples: 4 municipal employees suspended. The Carabinieri of the Nola Company have implemented an order for the application of the interdictory measure of the suspension of the exercise of a public office or service, issued by the investigating judge of the Nola court at the request of the Nolan Public Prosecutor’s Office against four people, investigated for the remains of false attestations or certifications and aggravated fraud.
The investigations, conducted by the staff of the Cimitile Carabinieri Station between November and December 2023, made it possible to highlight profiles of responsibility in relation to repeated absenteeism attributable to public employees of the municipality of Cimitile, who allegedly fraudulently used the digital detection system of entry and exit from the office in such a way that their formal presence on duty was fictitiously evident, even though they did not access the town hall at all or left it, sometimes for the entire working day, to dedicate themselves to activities unrelated to their tasks. The ordinance provides for the suspension of the exercise of public functions for 12 months, with the exception of one of the subjects involved, for which the duration was limited to 8 months.
