At the disposal of the district attorney of the Republic of Catania, the flying squad executed a precautionary custody order against a 39-year-old, subjected to house arrest with an electronic bracelet and a 41-year-old, subjected to custody in prison, held responsible for the crimes of mistreatment, personal injury and gang sexual violence.
The investigations revealed elements that demonstrate how the two were the perpetrators of serious violence against a woman, a Moldovan citizen, who arrived in Italy a few months ago in search of work. The woman, in fact, would have suffered sexual violence by the two, with the 39-year-old filming some moments of the rape with her phone.
The victim was taken to a secure facility, where he currently remains. The two recipients of the measure were instead taken to the prison in Piazza Lanza, available to the judicial authorities. The woman was subjected to house arrest because she is the mother of a six-year-old child.
