possible membership of Forza Italia

Giuseppe Tupputi, former group leader of “Con” in the Puglia Regional Council, known for his resignation due to conflicts within the party, took a significant political step today by signing the manifesto of adherence to the values of the European People’s Party at the De Gasperi Foundation in Rome. The deed was signed in the presence of the Italian secretary Antonio Tajani.

Political rumors indicate that this first step could lead Tupputi to join Forza Italia, a movement led by former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

Tupputi expressed his enthusiasm in signing the manifesto, defining it not only a formal act but also a symbol of his profound beliefs. He underlined that this pact represents for him not only an electoral agreement, but a real alliance between moderate civic forces, with the aim of bringing the local issues to a national level.

In his words, Tupputi thanked the vice president of the Council Antonio Tajani and senator Alberto Cirio, deputy national secretary of Forza Italia and president of the Piedmont Region, for having brought together the voices of civility and associationism from all over Italy. You described the agreement between the moderate civic lists and the national party as a sharing of values and future hopes, aimed at bringing the role of politics back to the center of citizens’ interests and bringing together those who feel excluded from territorial management .

Tupputi also underlined that this agreement represents a fundamental opportunity for those who believe in the strength of civility, after the disappointment resulting from his regional experience which recently led him to leave the leadership of a civic body in support of the centre-left in Puglia, which was the second most voted in the last regional elections.
