The Socio-recreational Activities Office of the Municipality of Piacenza has put forward the cultural proposal which is aimed at a public over 65: starting from 9.00 tomorrow, Tuesday 30 April, it will be possible to arrange – through telephone reservations – your participation in the guided tour of the archaeological section of Palazzo Farnese.
For all citizens over 65 years old and resident in the city, they will be given the opportunity to choose between two dates: Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 29 May.
From the Neolithic to the Roman eravisitors will be accompanied on an itinerary
suggestive among prehistoric discoveries – dating back to the mid-4th millennium BC – and
remains from antiquity, in particular from the Roman era. Consisting of fifteen rooms, in the Roman Section over 1000 finds are preserved, among which some artefacts of notable interest stand out such as the Etruscan liver and the imposing draped statue signed by the Athenian sculptor Kleoménes, both enhanced by a new museum display.
Reservations, mandatory and acceptable while availability lasts, will be collected on 0523-492724, from 9 to 12.30 from Monday to Friday.
