LAMEZIA TERME (CZ) – The Financiers of the Lamezia Terme Group, at the request of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Catanzaro, in execution of a specific sentence of the Court of Appeal of Catanzaro, proceeded with the definitive confiscation of real estate attributable to subjects close to local criminal gangs, burdened by numerous criminal records and dedicated to the commission of multiple crimes in the form of associations.
The complex investigations launched in addition to demonstrating the social danger of those proposed, had made it possible to reconstruct their criminal path both with regard to the conduct for which the final conviction occurred crimes of usury and extortion and with regard to other fraudulent criminal conduct through which the proposed individuals had accumulated a large real estate asset shielded behind the fictitious registration of third parties, who were also affected by the ablative measure.
In particular, through specific and meticulous checks on the names of the nominees, it was possible to reconstruct the economic and financial profile of the various subjects involved directly or through a third party in the various acquisitions of real estate assets found to be without justification and the relevant consequent disproportion between declared incomes and available assetsmade it possible to achieve the seizure and subsequent definitive confiscation of properties with an estimated value of over one million euros.
Overall, the Lamezia Terme financiers proceeded with the definitive expropriation in favor of the State of six prestigious homes, a commercial space and two plots of land located in different municipalities of the provinces of Catanzaro and Vibo Valentia.
