For this reason the Municipality asks everyone to pay maximum attention in general, in the underpasses, in Pontelambro and in the neighborhoods at risk of flooding of the Seveso. So Niguarda is preparing with sandbags and bulkheads, you cannot enter Lambro Park and Vittorini Park due to the risk of flooding and in Pontelambro water pumps and bags have been positioned, with a reception point set up in case of need.

In Largo Boccioni a tree fell on a building. The Municipal Operations Center is active with the entire civil protection system (Civil Protection, MM, Local Police, AVR, ATM, AMSA), all school principals in the risk areas have been alerted. No closure was ordered for Milanese schools until dawn.

Part of a wall inside an apartment building collapsed. Cars stuck in flooded underpasses, a school canteen closed.

Intense rainfall also in the Pavia area. In Zavattarello a 74-year-old who was stuck in her car was rescued by firefighters.

The Natural Risk Monitoring Functional Center of the Lombardy Region has issued a warning red criticalityi.e. high, for hydrogeological risk starting from midnight and orange, i.e. moderate, for hydraulic risk starting from 9pm. For this reason the Local Crisis Unit was convened to plan the operational activities and the deployment of the teams in the area. They are not excluded throughout the day precipitation peaks in 24 hours between 60 and 100 mm in the high plain areas.

During the weather warning period, the Milan administration invites citizens not to stay in the areas at risk of flooding of the two rivers, near the underpasses, under the trees and scaffolding of construction sites and outdoor areas. It is also important, explains the Municipality, to secure vases and other objects on the balconies that could be moved by the weather.

In recent days, there have been numerous rescue interventions in the Lombardy area due to landslides and collapses and they have also involved a large part of the road network with sections of road closed, in particular underpasses which have remained blocked and railway lines have been interrupted.

The Aipo agency has estimated that river levels may rise again with the arrival of new rainfall, with values ​​close to the criticality threshold 1.
