Illegal parking lot falls ill while running away from the local police

Complaint for an illegal parker who attempted to direct two officers in civilian clothes from the Local Police in an unmarked car towards a parking stall.

The incident happened last week, during a service aimed at combating the activity of illegal parkers, and involved a 37-year-old man of African origins.

The story began inside the former Mof car park, from where the car park attendant fled when the officers identified themselves – showing their identification badge – to ask him for his personal details.

While fleeing, the man hastily entered Via Darsena, creating an obvious danger for drivers. The escape on foot continued up to the Centro Storico car park, where the car park attendant seemed to have disappeared.

The search of the area by the two officers with a further patrol in support gave a positive result with the new sighting of the fugitive on the corner of Fortezza and Matilde di Canossa streets. The man here once again evaded another blocking attempt by yanking an officer and continuing his run towards Viale IV Novembre.

Once he reached via Ticchioni he was blocked. The 37-year-old here suffered an illness which required the intervention of 118 personnel.

The parking attendant, who had in the meantime been identified, was transported to the emergency room to proceed with the medical checks of the case.
