“Low profile”: assets worth 500 thousand euros definitively confiscated

The assets confiscated by Dia from three entrepreneurs involved in the “Low Profile” operation have a value of approximately 500 thousand euros.

CATANZARO – A hard blow to the ‘Ndrangheta and its connection with the business world. The Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate has, in fact, confiscated assets for a total value of approximately 500 thousand euros from 3 entrepreneurs believed to be close to the gangs. The provision which concerned the confiscated assets arose from the operation called “Basso Profilo”, which saw eight defendants tried under the abbreviated procedure.
Dia therefore implemented the sentence of the second criminal section of the Court of Appeal of Catanzaro, issued last February and which has now become irrevocable.

The sentence of 12 September 2023 therefore confirmed the confiscation already determined by the Catanzaro investigating judge on 28 October 2021. The sentence consisting of a series of assets attributable to 3 entrepreneurs of Cosenza and Turin believed to be operating under the influence of the ‘Ndrangheta clubs of San Leonardo di Cutro (Crotone) and Roccabernarda (Crotone), in the territories of Rome, Velletri (Rome), Sellia Marina, Simeri Crichi, Montalto Uffugo (Cosenza ) and Roccabernarda (Crotone).
The confiscations were carried out against Victoria Rosa of Roccabernarda (they concerned current accounts), Francesco Luzzi and Giulio Docimo of Cosenza. With the irrevocability of the sentence, the entire business portfolio of 5 companies and 2 individual businesses has been definitively confiscated. These were active in the commercial sectorsas well as banking relationships and financial resources, for a total value estimated at approximately 500,000 euros.
The operation, called “Low profile”, originates from an investigation coordinated by the Anti-Mafia District Attorney’s Office of Catanzaro which shed light on alleged illicit connections between mafia gangs and entrepreneurial activities in various areas of Italy.
