Agabiti, 4 million from the ministry of culture for Umbria
Today the Culture Commission of the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces gave a favorable opinion on the Strategic Plan for Major Cultural Heritage Projects, which provides for the appropriation of over 173 million euros for the valorization of places of culture and memory throughout the national territory.
The Plan starts from the awareness that cultural heritage constitutes an important tool for the growth of territories, to promote the image of Italy in the world, to spread its values and to highlight the Italian model, the result of centuries of cultural exchanges, identity and creativity.
4 million have been allocated to our Region: €2 million allocated to rearrangement complete with the spaces of the National Archaeological Museum of Umbria, to obtain a more usable, understandable and inclusive exhibition itinerary; a further €2 million was allocated to the archaeological area of Carsulae, for the valorisation and new use of the remains of the forum and the basilica, also through the restoration and safety of the wall structures.
The Councilor for Culture, Paola Agabiti, expresses satisfaction with the outcome of a process that will allow the increase of the cultural offer regionalthrough interventions on two important attractors that constitute symbolic places of our identity.
