Busto, European city of sport, a year that is far from behind us but continues to stimulate city sport. Councilor Maurizio Artusa today represented the city in the hall of honor of the CONI in Rome.
The ceremony
In fact, the 36th edition of the ACES Europe Gala “European Cities of Sport” took place this morning, in the presence of the highest sporting institutions and MEPs, with the presentation of the merits of sport: Busto also received it for his commitment in 2023.
The ceremony was opened by the words of the president of CONI Giovanni Malagò, the president of MSP Italia and Aces Europe Gian Francesco Lupattelli and the director of the UNESCO Division for Research, Ethics and Inclusion, Sector of Social and Human Sciences Angela Melo.
The look ahead
From this ceremony and from the comparison, important stimuli for the good of the city’s sport.
«I was able to speak with the sports credit institute which, at a national level, finances local authorities that want to invest in the sport of their city – explains Artusa – Aces Europe thanked us for having conducted the annual 2023″.
Not only that, special praise went to the world boxing event last March (READ HERE) in Busto, reiterating how significant it was: «When President Malagò saw me, he remembered the pre-Olympic boxing tournament organized by the IOC in Busto Arsizio, and appreciated the role of our city in having hosted that world event. Sport is very important, in our city it is necessary first of all thank those who take care of it, Precisely for this reason the municipal administration has invested more than 1 million euros in sports facilities in the last two years, with the gymnastics we will reach 10.7 million”.
Looking ahead passes through different actions, the ability to network and keep in mind how «solutions must be found from critical issues – concludes Artusa – Maximum attention is paid to improving ourselves more and more, with humility, dedication and commitment, nwithout forgetting the right firmness in making some decisions.”
