A 63-year-old man died today in Trieste.

A 63-year-old man with chronic heart disease and diabetes is died today in Triesteafter an illness that struck him while he was working in the countryside: it was his wife who raised the alarm, but help managed to arrive just 24 minutes later and, despite attempts at resuscitation, the man did not make it.

TO give the chronology of what happened it is the same Sores: “At 2.15 pm a call arrived at the Sores center from the wife of an Italian citizen, resident in Trieste, over sixty years of age, suffering from chronic heart disease and diabetes – the note cites official -. The woman declared that her husband was was taken ill while working in the countryside. The man he was conscious and responding clearly to the questions. Her wife also stated that in order to recover from her, her husband had stretched out on a deckchair with his legs high to facilitate circulation.”

“The lady on the phone was unable to give the operator the precise location of the event but, proposing to look for a point of reference, declared that he was behind the shed of a craft business in the area. She also added that to facilitate location identification she would have positioned herself on the street in front of the gate of this activity. In the meantime, operator Sores had alerted the ambulances classifying the intervention as code red. He also asked the lady to call back if there were any developments in the situation.”

“It should be specified – continues the note – that, on Monday 29 April, at the time affected by the call, the Sores Central he was managing, in Trieste, 12 interventions with 6 others pending interventions. At 2.32pm the lady called Sores Central again stating that the husband no longer responded and who didn’t seem to be breathing. Operator Sores asked those present at the scene to intervene with guided resuscitation maneuvers encountering their opposition“.

“While the first Sores operator continued to provide assistance trying to get those present to intervene with guided resuscitation maneuvers, continuing to receive a deniala second Sores operator is managed to free a medical vehicle and an ambulance who intervened in code red. The medical vehicle left at 2.29pm and arrived on site at 2.38pm. The ambulance, freed from a previous intervention, left at 2.36pm from Via Forti and arrived on site at 2.39pm. Upon the arrival of the emergency vehicles, the operators have performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, which unfortunately were unsuccessful, and the healthcare personnel were able to only to note the death of the person“.
