Lazzaretto Estate returns to Bergamo for the fourth year: music, comedy and a great start on 21 June with “Omaggio a Morricone” and then Goran Bregović
The renowned music festival, strongly supported once again by the Municipality of Bergamo, is preparing to welcome music and culture lovers again, after the boom in audiences of the last edition, almost 100% more attendance with more than 23,000 people , confirming a program that combines music and comedy, in the always magical setting of the Lazzaretto.
The line-up of artists for this edition also offers a great variety of entertainment, including musical performances and comic performances that promise to sing, dance, make audiences of different ages smile and have fun.
Music
The event will start on June 21st with “Homage to Morricone” – Oscar-winning music, a journey into the art of one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century. Special guest Susanna Rigacci, known to the public for her performances of songs from the soundtracks of Sergio Leone’s unmissable films.
But it is only the incipit of a calendar of names that have made the history of Italian music. In fact, we continue with Roberto Vecchioni at the Lazzaretto Estate with “Tra il silence e il thunder Tour”. «Between the silence and the thunder Tour – explains Vecchioni – is a great show of songs, images and monologues. Silence belongs to the imagination, to the spirit, to the soul, while the thunder instead belongs to what I have done and has been done to me, that is, to life, which pulsates very much: the only way to quiet it is to turn to the spirit>>.
Then, Umberto Tozzi who bids farewell to the live scene with “L’ULTIMA Notte rosa THE FINAL TOUR”. 50 years of career, more than 80 million records sold and over 2000 concerts all over the world, an icon of Italian music who has crossed and fascinated entire generations.
In terms of composition, Goran Bregović will also take to the stage, whose compositions mix the sounds of a gypsy fanfare, traditional Bulgarian polyphonies, an electric guitar and traditional percussion with rock accents, and Cristiano De André, the only true heir to the musical heritage deandreiano, who will perform with “De André DeAndré – Best Of Live Tour”, a tribute to his father Fabrizio, 25 years after his death, and to his songs imprinted in the collective memory and still extremely current. The event is also on the bill with one of the most loved artists of recent years: Willie Peyote, who returns to tour with a new show. Energy, technical mastery of rap music, lyrics that look to the songwriting, sharp irony and an always out of the ordinary look at all things in the world. These are the characteristics of Willie Peyote’s pen.

The physical ticket office at the Lazzaretto is open starting from June 15th, from Thursday to Saturday, from 2pm to 7pm.

An unmissable and overwhelming journey into the art of one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century, Maestro Ennio Morricone. The instrumental protagonist of the concert will be the prestigious Ensemble Le Muse directed by Maestro Andrea Albertini.
Special guest Susanna Rigacci, Swedish naturalized Italian soprano, known to the international public above all for her vocal performances of songs from the soundtracks of Sergio Leone’s films: “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”, “Once Upon a Time West”, “Giù la testa”, written and directed by Ennio Morricone, with whom he held several live concerts in various countries. A crescendo of emotions and serene nostalgia.

The most famous Balkan musician and composer in the world will be supported by his Wedding and Funeral Band – trumpets, trombones, bass drum, clarinet, saxophone and Bulgarian voices – whose virtuosity reminds us that in the Balkans music is played in a “turbo folk” version. The show that Goran Bregović will bring to Bergamo will be a mix of his historic successes and songs taken from his most recent albums, and there will be some previews of the new project that will be released soon. A complete, full, strong, fun show which, once again, will give the Lazzaretto audience a live experience full of energy and dynamism: a concert to be experienced and danced to.
