he had just left work in Vicenza

Surrounded by a bunch of young and very young people and beaten in one of the streets in the center for a pittance loot of just 3 euros. This is what happened last weekend in Vicenza to a 45-year-old employee of a restaurant in the area. The attack occurred during the night between Friday and Saturday after the man had left his work shift and was walking home. It was around three in the morning on Saturday when the victim found his way blocked by a small group who immediately began to bother him.

According to what has been reconstructed so far, the group ordered him to hand over all the money he had but when he replied that he had nothing, the attack began. As the Giornale di Vicenza reconstructs, the 45-year-old was joined by a punch in the face which made him fall to the ground stunned. At this point the gang of attackers searched him, taking away the few change he had in his pocket, namely 3 euros, leaving him lifeless on the ground.

The scene between Corso Palladio and Piazza dei Signori, that is, in the historic center of Vicenza where a carabinieri patrol subsequently arrived. The 45-year-old himself raised the alarm on 112 after being found. The man was rescued and taken to hospital where fortunately the doctors ascertained that the injuries sustained were not serious.

14 of them surrounded him and made him undress in the street: he was beaten in front of his wife and daughters in the Milan area

The 45-year-old who was attacked then confirmed the story to the military personnel who started investigations to trace those responsible for the ambush. The investigators acquired the video from surveillance cameras of the area. The suspicion is that it could be one of the baby gangs that often hang out in the historic center of Vicenza.

Precisely to combat these phenomena, the public order and safety committee has foreseen fixed presences of law enforcement forces in the places most frequented by youth gangs in Vicenza such as Piazza Biade but also in Porta Castello and San Lorenzo.
