NewTuscia – VITERBO – Throwing it into politics, mixing the cards, is the obvious demonstration of our reasons and of the nervousness that spreads among those who know they are, certainly this time, on the wrong side.
The expansion of the landfill desired by the Lazio Region thanks to Fratelli d’Italia is a fact. Net of the chatter and propaganda, with the opinion of the waste area first of 20 June 2023, and with the two regional decisions G03981 of 9 April 2024 and G03071 of 18 March 2024 then, the Region condemned Viterbo to continue to be still, who knows for how long, the only landfill serving the entire Lazio region.
Instead, the Municipality of Viterbo firmly opposed it by appealing to the opinion of the Waste Area, which authorized it provided that the landfill also accepted waste from other provinces. Subsequently, he opposed it by giving a contrary opinion to the services conference and making yet another appeal to the two regional decisions, precisely to avoid continuing to receive waste from Rome. Tuscia has already given, enough is enough.
Throwing it into politics, claiming the non-authenticity of our civility, is an old strategy that is implemented when there are no arguments. I remind the Honorable Sabatini, my friend Daniele, that it is a duty, and in some cases even a pleasure, for the mayor to participate in events where politicians are invited, exactly as I participated, with pleasure, in the Fratelli d’Congress Italy last November.
We invite the Honorable Sabatini, our friend Daniele, to think about the good of Viterbo and Tuscia, ensuring that the regional administration puts pen to paper in the documents that the expansion of the landfill will only serve the province of Viterbo, a territory virtuous that closes its waste cycle in the province itself, instead of recklessly defending a position that currently goes against the interests of our province and its environmental and economic protection.
