– At 9.00 pm at the Circolo Arci “Resilienza” (Viale Giovanni XXIII 201/203 – Bitonto)

For film reviews:

“For Example CINEMA” is a review of three films: two Iranian, one Israeli, curated by Giovanni Cenerino.

we start on Monday 29 April with:

THREE TIMES
A car trip to the rural northwest of Iran where every encounter is full of charm and irony. A famous Iranian actress receives a delirious video of a girl begging for her help to escape a destiny that is not hers. Marziyeh dreams of being an actress at any cost, even that of committing suicide. Raised in a mountain village and respecting traditions, the girl is a student at the conservatory in Tehran but her authoritarian and aggressive brother forces her to live a life that respects the rules. At least until the favorite actress sets out to reach her and establish the truth about the real or simulated nature of her suicide. “Three Faces is a formidable political sounding board, a traveling square but above all an introspective journey”.

After the Golden Bear for Taxi Tehran, Jafar Panahi returns to directing with Three Faces, awarded at the Cannes Film Festival for Best Screenplay and in cinemas from Thursday 29 November. In the cast, among others, we find Panahi himself, Behnaz Jafari and Marziyeh Rezaei.
