Retired financier surprises thieves at home and shoots: one injured

An 85 year old man, a former financier, surprised the thieves in his house in Bergamo: he shot one of the two who ended up in hospital.

Yesterday, Saturday 27 April, an 85 year old senior he hoped to some thieves he caught in his home in Longuelo, suburban neighborhood of Bergamo. One man, a 26-year-old, was injured. In addition to the 118 health workers, the police also intervened on site.

According to what has been reconstructed so far, the 85-year-old would be a retired financier. Around 9.30pm he returned home and found two thieves: he took a gun and shot at them. A 26-year-old boy of Albanian origin was injured. The police and the 118 doctors and paramedics sent from the operations center of the Lombardy regional emergency emergency company (Areu) were called.

The investigators stopped him and entrusted him to the care of operators who took him to hospital: he was grazed in the neck by a bullet, but he is not in serious condition. In fact, he was discharged immediately. They then arrested him: they accused him of aggravated robbery. The accomplice however ran away: the police officers are on his trail. From further investigations it emerged that the former financier’s weapon was regularly held.
