Lucia Artusi, candidate for the European and municipal elections of Sanremo for the Democratic Party, condemns “General Vannacci’s shameful proposal to divide children with disabilities into separate classes”.
“As a candidate for the European and municipal elections of Sanremo for the Democratic Party, I would like to express – she highlights – my firm condemnation of General Vannacci’s proposal to separate children with disabilities into separate classes. This proposal is totally unacceptable and contrary to the values of equality and inclusion that represent the foundation of the Democratic Party”.
“I am deeply disappointed by the fact that the local political representatives of the League have not distanced themselves from this shameful proposal. It is essential that all political representatives firmly oppose any form of discrimination and work to promote full participation and respect for rights of all people, including children with disabilities. I would like to reiterate my total commitment to children with disabilities and their families. If I am elected, I intend to firmly represent their rights and dignity.”
