Attempts to get rid of the drugs, the police arrest a couple in Cagliari.

As part of activities aimed at combating drug dealing, the police arrested a 32-year-old man and his 30-year-old partner.

It happened yesterday, during a stakeout near a CEP house, where the police of the Falchi Group of the Flying Squad believed a drug dealing activity was taking place. They then intervened, stopping a man, already known for his history in the field of narcotics, as he was trying to get rid of a package containing narcotic substance.

At the same time, in a nearby plot, the man’s partner was also stopped who, alerted to the presence of the police, was trying to get rid of other doses of cocaine and heroin.

The recovered narcotic substance, overall quantified at approximately 21 grams of heroin, cocaine and speedball, was ready to be put on the market.

The search was also extended to the home of the two, where the officers were able to ascertain the presence of a sophisticated video surveillance system which allowed them to monitor the external perimeter of the apartment, used to evade police checks. Inside the apartment, material for weighing and packaging drugs was found, as well as the sum of €2,200 believed to be the alleged proceeds of the illicit activity.

The couple was arrested red-handed for the hypothesis of the crime of detention for the purpose of dealing and taken to their respective homes under house arrest.

Following the immediate hearing, the GIP validated the arrest for both and the terms for the defense were accepted for the man while the obligation to sign was accepted for his partner.
