The inaugural moment will close with a toast around 7.30pm and will be followed, at 8.30pm, by the projection of a musical videomapping on the façade of XNL created by the Conservatory’s Electronic Music Department.

XNL Piacenza: Ryoichi Kurokawa’s concert

The highlight of the dayscheduled for 9pm in the auditorium on the second floor of the center, it is Ryoichi Kurokawa’s concert/performance who, for the first time in Piacenza, will perform with the concert version of his sound project “s.asmbli / subassemblies“, an investigation and reflection on the relationship between nature and human artefacts on an architectural scale that the artist has translated into different artistic formats: a concert piece, multi-screen installations, prints, virtual reality and a version intended for projection for concerts live. The main sources of this project are three-dimensional data obtained through laser scanning of man-made architecture – ruins of buildings and nature – which are distorted and reconstructed as subsets, to create a new timeline with layers of order and disorder, between concrete and the abstract, which highlights both the strength of nature and that of art. The “subassemblies” concert version consists of a single screen, surround lighting and a 4.1 sound system. The event is with free entry but we strongly recommend booking your ticket at the link: eventbrite
